AAI Junior Executive ATC Previous Year Exam Question Paper

Hello Friends, I am presenting this article with a crystal-clear thought to help those guys who are preparing for the JE (ATC) exam conducted by Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the recruitment of Air Traffic Controllers in India.

It has been an irony that unlike UPSC and many PSUs, AAI has not defined any syllabus for the exam and ATC aspirants find it difficult to prepare without a defined syllabus or guidelines that can help in the preparations. At the same time, it is worth to mention here that it’s next to impossible to find previous question papers of the JE (ATC) exam.

But with a commendable initiative by AAI to upload the JE-ATC Exam on its website and my two friends who gave me their credentials to download the Question Papers for the exam held on 26.04.2016, I am able to upload 4 Question Papers (with answers). It will prove beneficial to those candidates who are aiming high to crack the JE-ATC exam which has become quite tough to go through. Total 4 Question papers will cover the last two ATC Exams that were held on 26 Dec. 2015 and 24 April 2016. Both the exams were held in two shifts i.e. Morning Shift (Shift 1) and Evening Shift (Shift 2). Exam was conducted online so it was easier for AAI to upload the response sheets of candidates in a short span of time.

is there be only single exam or same syllabus for all the job profile mention by AAI in new notification for 908 posts??? and

Different exams for different posts as qualifications are different.
      No interviews
Voice test for atc candidates only

  6. Sir in 2015 they have asked questions from 11-12th standard and in 2016 they have asked questions from Engineering physics which is taught in 1st and 2nd semester.I am confused that what should I study. Please clear my doubt.

    1. Hello sir, I want to ask you one thing that in AAI ATC me fluent English speaking hona chahiye k… please clear it . Someone told me that there is need of fluent English. Is this true??? And if need ,then what level it’s.

Final year students are allowed to appear in exam, subject to the condition that they will produce the final result at the time of document verification/interview. one need Regular full time Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) in Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks.

  7. sir I am bit confused about AAI JE (ATC) exam syllabus as some sites are posting that technical part will be from your branch as some are saying technical part is physics and maths.I am pursuing B.Tech from electronics and communication!

  8. Sir, I’m a Btech graduate. Can I apply for multiple posts of JE(ATC) and JE(Airports operation) in the advt no 02/2018. Is the syllabus for JE(Airports operations) same as that of JE(ATC) ?

    1. sudhir sheoran

Dates are to be decided by AAI so I don’t know if there will be any clash. Syllabus of JE Airports operations is same as that of JE ATC.

  9. Can mechanical engineering student apply for me ATC posts??? Does he ATC exam contain mechanical subjects??

    1. sudhir sheoran

I am not sure. “Regular full-time bachelor’s degree of 3 years in Science(B.Sc.) with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised university with minimum 60% Marks”. This is all they have said about eligibility. Now you have to decide yourself.

  10. Sir, I have one Query. For junior Executive Human resource post there is a eligibility like Graduation, MBA. So what does it mean? I have completed my graduation so looking for that post. Am I eligible? And Thank you for the papers.

  11. Sir i’ve a query. I’ve done my BTech from CIVIL Engg. and I’ve applied for Jr Executive AAI ATC exam but you’ve mentioned that question paper is common for all the engineering branches is that correct but how it is possible and if not then what’s the syllabus for civil engineering AAI ATC Exam.

    1. Why do you think this is not possible? Initially only Electronics/Telecommunications/ Information Technology branches were allowed to appear in ATC exam. Later AAI allowed all engineering streams. Question from Physics and maths are asked in the exam and I think no engineering student can skip these 2 subjects no matter what stream he/she choose. Air Traffic Control involves a lot of maths and physics.

    1. You are eligible if you have done graduation in engineering or B.Sc. With Physics and Maths. And you need to have at least 60% marks in graduation.

  14. Sir I am confused about AAI JE (ATC) exam syllabus as some sites are posting that technical part will be from your branch and some are saying technical part is physics and maths. I have completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Which should i follow for Technical part, Graduate level Physics and Maths OR my Engineering syllabus

    1. If you are able to login and do everything then I think it should be fine. Just make sure after Clicking on “forgot password”, you are receiving email for resetting password. Also if you are using gmail app in mobile then don’t forget to click on “All mail” from the left panel which appears on clicking burger like button in left top of gmail app. You might find your missing email on doing this.

  19. Hai Friends
I have applied for JE post for this year. But I committed a mistake in filling the form. I have given my percentage wrongly( 60% instead of 65% ). Will that be a problem during the verification time. Can I apply for it again? If I again apply for the same….Will that be rejected ???…Kindly give a reply.

  20. Sir, I have score of 6.20 CGPA in BE(ECE) under the ANNA UNIVERSITY CHENNAI. I already applied for ATC JE but some of my friends said when we convert My CGPA into Percentage it will comes down below 60. I m eligible or not Pls confirm me…

    1. AAI will use the conversion formula to calculate equivalent percentage. If it’s above 60 then you are eligible otherwise not. Conversion formula might vary from university to university and usually printed on the back side of the marksheet.

  21. Hello sudhir sir ,I want to ask that in AAI ATC me interview hota h ya only voice test or background verification hi hota h and ye bhi bataye ki background verification kya hota h

    1. No interview. Only voice test and background verification. Background verification involves identity verification, educational verification, employment verification, criminal record checks etc.
