7 Best Ad Networks for Indian Traffic (Small Publishers)- Best CPM Rates

Let me be honest with you. You can not simply make big money with a small blog, especially if you are getting traffic from India or other Asian countries. Except for a few good advertising networks like Adsense, all the advertising companies pay the worst CPM/PPC rates for traffic from Asian countries. If you are a small publisher and want to make good money out of your blog, there are 2 ways –

  1. Get Your Adsense or Media.net Account Approved OR
  2. Be ready to irritate your visitors by displaying pop-up and pop-under ads

There are a lot of ad networks out there and it really hard to find out the best. Keeping minimum traffic requirements and Good CPM/PPC/CTR in mind, I have compiled a list of the best ad networks for Indian/Asian Traffic small publishers.

31 Best Ways To Make Money From A Website

Even if you are approved with Adsense, you should join other networks because you never know when Google will terminate your Adsense account and you might need other approved ad networks as a backup plan.

Best Ad Networks for Indian Traffic Blogs

List of Best Ad Networks for Indian/Asian Low Traffic Blogs –

1. Google Adsense

Adsense is undoubtedly the best ad network I have ever used. Even Adsense was one of the major reasons I started blogging. Whether you have just started blogging or you have an old blog, Adsense performs the best when it comes to monetizing a blog.

Founded in 2003, with millions of publishers Google Adsense is the world’s largest and best online advertising network. It serves both CPC(Cost Per Click) and CPM(Cost Per Mille) ads mean you get money even if your users are not clicking on the ads.

Good About Adsense

  • Multiple Ad Types: Display Ads, Text Ads Rich Media Ads, Link Units, Responsive Ads, and Matched Content
  • High Payouts – According to my experience, no ad network can beat Adsense CPM rates. It shares 68% revenue with the publishers.
  • No Minimum Traffic Requirement – You don’t need to have a lot of traffic to apply for Adsense.
  • Relevant and High-Quality Ads – Adsense shows contextual ads so more are the chances that your visitors will find the ads relevant and click on ads.

Bad About Adsense

  • Hard to Get Approved – Getting approved from Adsense has never been easy. There are a lot of policies and guidelines your website must comply with.
  • Poor Customer Service
  • Easy to Get Banned – You must maintain the required quality. If they find that your blog is violating their policies at any time, they might ban your account.
  • High Minimum Payout – It might take months to reach the minimum withdrawal threshold i.e. $100

Traffic Requirements and Withdrawal

  • Minimum Payout: $100

2. Media.net

After Google Adsense, Media.net is the best and largest contextual ad network operated by Yahoo and Bing. If you are not getting approved by Adsense, you should go for Media.net. My blog was accepted on the second try. It’s a little easier to get approved by Media.net than Adsense. All you need is a blog with quality content and good design.

Many big publishers, like Forbes, NY Times, are using Media.net ads. If you are searching for the best Adsense alternative, apply to Media.net.

Good About Media.net

  • Various Ad Types: Contextual Ads, Display Ads, Desktop Interstitial Ads, Mobile Docked Ads, In-Content Ads
  • No Minimum Traffic Requirements – Your blog need not have a lot of visitors in order to get approved by Media.net
  • Real-Time Reporting – You can check how ads are performing with real-time reporting in your Media.net account dashboard.
  • Good Customer Support

  • Payment Term: Net-30

4. Revenuehits

Just sign up for Revenuhits publisher account and your blog is approved. I used Revenuehit on this Blog when my Adsense account was not approved. In fact, this was the first Ad network I received a payment from. It can match Adsense in terms of revenue if you don’t mind annoying your readers with pop-up and pop-under ads. Don’t judge it in the first 2-3 days. It takes little time to offer relevant and optimized ads.

Good About Revenuehits

  • Lots of Ad Formats: Display & Rich Media, Pop-Ups/Unders, Apps, Widgets, XML Feeds, CPA, CPM, Shadowbox, Slider, Interstitial ads.
  • Good Customer Support
  • Great eCPM Rates – Revenuehits can make you good money if you use their pop-under and interstitial ads.
  • Instant Approval Without Any Traffic

Bad About Revenehits

  • Poor eCPM rates for Banner ads
  • Annoying and Irrelevant Ads – Most ads just contain a plain Download or Play button. It does not make any sense.

Traffic Requirements and Withdrawal

  • Minimum Withdrawal Threshold: $20
  • Payment Term: Net-30
  • Minimum Traffic Requirement – None
  • Payment Method: Paypal, Wire Transfer, and Payoneer.

5. PropellerAds

Recently they upgraded their Adblock Bypass Technology and that means ad blocking plugins would not be able to steal your ad revenue. PropellerAds works better when used for a longer time. This UK-based ad network pays typically between $0.50 to $5 for every 1000 ad impressions. Their pop-under ads give high CPM(up to $10). If you have a gaming website, you can make a lot of money with this PropellerAds. The account is activated instantly.

6. Infolinks

Infolinks is considered the best inText Advertising network for small publishers. It finds relevant text in the content and converts them into ad links. Since it offers completely different types of ads, I recommend you to use it with other ad networks like Adsense, Revenuehits, etc. You do not need to have a lot of visitors on your blog to get approval from Infolinks. Usually, they take 2 days to review and approve a blog.

Good About Infolinks

  • Unique Ad Types: In-article, Infold, In-screen, Intext, Intag, Inframe.

7. PopCash

The pop-under ad network PopCash is very much similar to PopAds in terms of the approval process, publisher’s dashboard, and eCPM rates. Many people find PopAds better while others like PopCash. I would suggest you try both at the same time to increase overall revenue. Give the same opportunities(ad placements) to both the ad networks for 10-15 days and find out which performs the best. Stick with the best.

Good About PopCash

  • Good CPM Rates – $0.50-$3 average

Conclusion

An ad network working for one might not work for another. You would never know what CPM rates an ad network really gives until you try it on your own blog. In my opinion, you should try each network at least 7 days before you can say – it’s not working for me.

If you are approved with Adsense and Media.net then it’s good otherwise you should try any of the above 2 networks in combination like pop-up/under ads from one network and banner ads from other ad networks. It would take some time to figure out the best but it’s worth trying.

for apps use need the approval of AdMob (google ad network). These all above networks are for websites and blogs.

  1. My blog is approved by both Adsense and Media.net. I get good earning from Media.net than Adsense for the same traffic. Adsense is very partial towards Asian and Indian traffic.

  2. Hi Uma,

We are planning to start a website with Hindi blogs. Are you aware of any ad networks that pay decent for a hindi reading audience?

  3. Hey Sudhir,
Great post. I prefer to use AdSense , and I’m happy that you placed it first of all(of-course it has some problem with approval..). And now I’ll check others too. I think pop-ups will be cute.

Also Add Adnow in List for Indian Bloggers.
I Using Adnow for my site.

    1. sudhir sheoran

Tried it 5 days on one of my blog after your recommendation. Here is my result – 6419 views | 47 Clicks | 0.73% CTR | 0.52$ Income | 0.08 $ eCPM . Conclusion- Not working for me.

Yes depending on which 2 ad networks you are using. There are some ad networks which are not compatible with others e.g. It is not advised to use pop up/under ads with Adsense.

  5. Hi, Sudhir this was exactly what I was looking for. I’m using PopAds now, but the earnings are very poor due to poor traffic and posts are not ranking in Google ( the exact reason for poor traffic).

So it would be helpful if you write something on how to rank your posts on google.

    Thank you.

    1. Hi Rachal,

I saw your concern about good traffic for Ad Sense earning, I am suggesting to do On-Page SEO, and side by side do some social sharing with the relevant keywords, this way you will be able to generate good social traffic on your blogs.

Well, If you need any kind of strategic or technical advice regarding SEO do let me update.

      Thank you

  6. hi sudhir, thanks for the valuable post. could you tell us please whether media.net approves regional website or not. i Have a hindi website and good traffic, but they didn’t approved my site. waiting for your reply…

    1. Your Chances are narrow. Have a look at their program guidelines. They are looking for websites receiving majority of their traffic from UK/US/Canada and having original content primarily in English language.

      1. What if the traffic is mostly from India. So we don’t earn any money through media. Net. Also, tell me the best ad network which will good for Indian traffic. Excluding adsense

  7. Thanks a lot for this useful post, it was really worth to read whole post
My question is, can I use any other ad networks along with AdSense? Is it dangerous for AdSense if I use other ad network? And which is the best option to use along with AdSense?
    Thanks once again 🙏

    1. Not every other ad network is compatible with Adsense. There are a lot of ad placement policies one should consider before placing the Google Adsense ads on the same page with other ads. For an example you can not place Adsense ads on a website using pop up and pop under ads. I personally do not suggest any other ad network to use along with Adsense. Adsense alone with 3 or 4 ad units performs great. If someone have a lot of traffic then native advertising networks such as Outbrain and Taboola can be used along with Adsense to increase overall ad revenue.

  8. Hey,

    Nice post.

I currently have adsense and my cpc is really low(close to 0.01 per click) which is really depressing.
I am looking for an alternative CPM ad network to atleast make more than what i am earning with adsense.
Current rank of my website is close to 3.9million.

  9. My blog is approved by google by refused 2 time by media.net, please suggest me how to get approval of media.net.
    tHANKS

    1. Articles are too short. Some content is plagiarized. Write more, write longer, write some topics relevant to audience of top tier countries.

  10. My site is just 4 months old and started getting organic traffic only now … about 300 visits in the last 30 days …
Is it better to wait till it gets more user flows or can start applying for Ad networks ?
    Please suggest.
