How to Prepare for AAI ATC Voice Test

This article is just to give you an idea about the common transmissions or better to say instructions that an ATC Officer gives to the aircraft. Also, it will be helpful in preparing for Voice Test because the candidate will be asked to read a page with such transmission written over it. This is basically to check your fluency and to be assured that the candidate is not stammering while speaking/reading. Once you clear the voice test, then only you will be allowed to appear in the interview.

First I am describing how we pronounce the English Alphabet, then I will move to numbers, and finally, some sample phraseologies used in day to day business of ATC. You can practice the two samples by taking printouts and reading them loud and clear. It will be enough to clear the voice test.

Edit 2: AAI has made certain changes in the format of the Voice Test in the interview Phase 1 which was held in Feb-March, 2016. Instead of ATC-Pilot interaction phrases, AAI asked candidates to read the passage from magazines/newspapers. So candidates can prepare the same by practicing articles from newspapers.
