2. The written test will be having a total of 120 objective type questions with multiple choices. Candidate will be required to choose the most appropriate answer out of the four options.

3. There will not be any negative marking, however candidates are requested to check the same when they get the question paper while appearing in the exam.

4. There will be two sections in the exam viz. Technical and Non-Technical Section.

5. Technical Section will be having questions to test the technical/subject knowledge of the candidate.

6. Non-Technical Sections will be primarily aiming at testing the general awareness of the candidate along with aptitude, english, numerical ability related questions.

AAI Junior Executive Exam Syllabus:

Now comes the most asked and searched question….what is the syllabus for these posts as AAI has just mentioned that syllabus is available on website however to find this syllabus is next to impossible task. Also, most of the sites have posted the syllabus which is for the post of Manager and not Junior Executive.

Junior Executive (Engineering-Civil) Syllabus:

Tech.Section: 70% questions on subjects relating to educational qualifications prescribed for the post;

Non-Tech. Section: 30% on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, English etc.

Junior Executive (Engineering-Electrical) Syllabus:

Tech.Section: 70% questions on subjects relating to educational qualifications prescribed for the post; and

Non-Tech. Section: 30% on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, English etc.

Junior Executive (Information Technology) Syllabus:

Tech.Section: 50% questions on subjects relating to educational qualifications prescribed for the post; and

Non-Tech Section: 50% on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, English etc.

Edit (25/05/2016)

Click here to Read the topic-wise syllabus.

For Junior Executive (Airport Operations) Syllabus:

Tech. Section: 50% questions on subjects relating to educational qualifications prescribed for the post; and

Non-Tech. Section: 50% on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, English etc.

I hope this post will be helpful to all of you. I am sure that you will share it on your social networking webpages.

All the very best for your exam !!

P.S. : This is poor part on AAI that they have just outlined the syllabus and not defined any particular subjects to prepare for the exam but that is how AAI defines syllabus every time for the Junior Executive level exams. For Engineering related exams like Civil, IT and Electrical, my advice will be to cover subjects asked in GATE (but level of questions will be easier than GATE) and other PSUs. JE (Airport Ops) exam will be tricky one in my opinion covering general questions from science and management.

Not from Maths and Physics as per me but will be having questions from science and management topics.

  1. Educational qualifications prescribed for the post of airport operation ranges from BSc to MBA to B. Tech. So we need to study subjects of al three degrees?

    ambiguous info..

    1. sudhir sheoran

Kind of mess but paper will be having questions from these fields only i.e. technical and management related topics.

  2. Chitralekha Lamba

Sir, can you please provide the last year question paper for Junior Executive airport operations and also for JE Information technology…
Sir please upload the question paper because I’m not able to get the idea for management related questions…And also from where will be study technical questions from B.Sc educational qualification??
    Please help sir!!

    1. sudhir sheoran

Miss Lamba, AAI doesnt allow candidates to take the question papers to home so last year question paper will not be available anywhere on internet. I am really sorry that I can’t help you guys who are preparing for JE-AO Exam. Will upload any update, if I get so. At least start preparing the non-tech. portion (Reasoning/GK/English/Apti)

  3. can u plz tell me the exact syllabus of aai (airport operations).i didnt start preparing yet..i tryed for atc but my final semester came at 25th april.so i cant attend on 24th..so plz help me with this.

  4. I don’t understand how this post serves any good purpose to ones who need syllabus for aai je operations. U just mentioned words as mentioned in advertisement.

    1. sudhir sheoran

Dear Chahit, please learn to appreciate efforts of others and as far as I know these details have not been mentioned in the Advt. No. 02/2016. Be familiarized with the fact that this is how AAI defines syllabus for any JE level exam. Just get some idea from it and start your preparation. Also you can write to AAI for a detailed syllabus which in future will help other guys who are trying for this job.

  5. sir,
i wanted to know from where i should prepare for junior executive(IT) advt no 2/2016 so that i can perform well……….please help

      1. Hello sir,
I know many candidates are asking you for previous paper and question pattern for JE(IT) as no information is available for this, but we are quiet anxious to know the difficulty level of the questions because GATE level numerical s are quiet difficult and take good amount of time for preparation but if you see the IBPS SO exam questions, which is very easy to answer and only theory based. So please give some idea about this and are you sure about the scheme for JE(IT) is 50:50 or 70:30 for tech and non tech bcoz other websites showing it 70:30 ratio?
And yes I am not selected for ATC 03/2015 but thank you for your support
        Thank you

        1. sudhir sheoran

Mam I write based on the info available on AAI website and not from other websites. Level as I already said will be easier than GATE level. And sorry to read that you could not get selected. Wish you good luck for your future endeavours.

    Hello sir,

After payment of the amount at SBI, the bank returned both the Applicant’s Copy and AAI Copy of the challan.
And on top of the AAI copy, it’s written ‘to be sent to DSIIDC’. Should I sent that copy to DSIIDC? Please let me know about the details. Thank you 🙂

      1. Rejo Abraham Mathew

        Thank you so much.

It’s been 24 hours since I completed payment. I know, AAI asked to wait for maximum 48 hours for the Step 2 to be activated, but I was worried if I had to send this challan copy for the process to be completed.

  7. Rejo Abraham Mathew

    Sir,

In Step 2, they have asked for ‘Challan Reference Number’. I entered the Reference Number which was given to me via Email. On the challan also it’s written Reference Number. That’s the number I typed in.

But should I have given the SBI Journal number? :-/

        1. Rejo Abraham Mathew

Sir, I had called the AAI Help Desk 2016, and they said we can enter either the ‘Reference Number’ or ‘SBI Journal Number’.

Please let me know if u have any idea about the expected cut off for the AE IT. I know it depends upon several doctors but just a margin hint will be helpful.

    Thanks !!

  11. sir, it has been given in corrigendum that the junior executive and manager post are cancelled, but we have already paid the required amount as application fees, is there any chance we will be refunded back ?

    1. sudhir sheoran

I don’t see any refund but yes AAI will not ask for fee if they release the advertisement again after sometime

  12. hello sir. can we expect exam syllabus (technical) of airport operations (advt. 2/16) same as JE ATC (advt. 7/15) ? for the advt (7/15), syllabus was maths n physics and eligible candidates were b.tech graduate n B.sc maths students and so AAI kept the common subjects for both the stream students. so likewise can we expect some common subjects for the airport operations( advt 2/16) as eligible candidates are graduate n management students? if yes, please do mention some expected syllabus for technical subject. (advt 2/16 , airport operation post).

  13. is the exam for manager notification number 3/2016 cancelled.. I didn’t see the corrigendeum now at official website..but if we google we can get it…is it really cancelled is it still on

  14. Chitralekha Lamba

    1. Hi Lamba,

  17. Good morning Sudhir,
i wanted to know from where i should prepare for junior executive (Air Operations) advt no 02/2016 so that i can perform well……….please help..
I received a link from AAI site to download the e-admit card. Can u tell me whether the exam date for AAI JE (Air Operations) is on Sep 17th..??
If then, kindly let me know which are the subjects i need to concentrate on for the written interview.
Results will be expected when sir?
If the result is pass, when can we expect the oral interview??
I am asking all these because am in Overseas. I have to come down to ma hometown for the exams and will be flying back on the next flight. If u have any idea on all these dates, I can plan accordingly sir.
    Waiting for your reply sir.

    1. Unlike UPSC, in most of PSUs (AAI one of them) There is no fixed schedule for Exam, Result declaration, Interview etc. Yes, Exam is on !7th Sept. 2016. Result can be expected in 3-4 months after the exam, Interview can be expected after 1-2 months of result declaration.

Prepare maths and Physics upto 12th Std. for tech portion, and SSC level preparation for non-tech portion would be sufficient.

      1. Sir really need to thank u a lot. Don’t know how to praise u. The work/help which u doing now for us/all who prepare for AAI is out of the world. We will support your blog and will reach it to the max/extent. Keep on doing sir..

  24. Hi,

I need help regarding the HR vacnacy in AAI. I have 1 year and 9 months of working experience as an IT recruiter in HR field. But it requires 2 years of experience. So am i eligible to apply for HR post or i am not eligible for that. Looking forward to hear from you.

    Thank you,

    1. sudhir sheoran

2 years means 2 years only. By the time you will clear the exam and appear in Interview you will have more than 2 years of experience. So take a chance. Good luck
